The Gallery's educational programmes

The Education Department of the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze offers a diverse range of cultural activities and educational programmes for schools, families and adults. The variety of artwork in the museum makes it possible to follow different artistic and historical paths while exploring medieval, Renaissance and 19th-century art. And there is an entire department devoted to musical instruments. For schools, special programmes are organised annually for every age group: from fun activities for the littlest visitors to theatre activities for university students. For families, we offer interactive guided tours. These programmes include a tour to learn about the works coupled with an interactive workshop. For the most curious, we offer thematic guided tours. Our education activities continued even during the emergency period, when we offered opportunities to learn through the museum’s social network channels.
