A comic in Galleria

The Galleria dell’Accademia of Florence is pleased to present a new project created specifically for children. Saturday 13 and Sunday, October 14, there are some very special guided tours; in support of the operators, in fact, there will be the comic NERI AND SCHEGGIA IN GALLERIA, an original and entertaining publication created by the cartoonist Tuono Pettinato with the collaboration of the Gallery to offer young visitors a new tool to get closer to the works of art kept in the Museum.
Director Cecilie Hollberg said: “the comic, fun and informative, is a project that I particularly care about. In addition to the enhancement of the heritage of the Gallery, my goal is, in fact, to create projects that stimulate children’s interest in figurative culture “.
During the tour, an operator will guide the young visitors to discover the major masterpieces in the museum, through curiosities and stories about the works and the artists who made them. Sculptures, paintings and precious musical instruments will be the protagonists of this walk in the halls of the museum.

Need to know
The visits will last 45 minutes with meeting at the Colossus hall at 16.00 and 17.00.
The educational service, suitable for children aged from 6 to 10 years, is free and booking is recommended (phone 055-294883).
Each participant will receive a free copy of the comic book.
