Saturday, May 23rd – European Night of Museums

European Night of Museums returns with special evening openings and a symbolic one euro admission fee. On Saturday, May 23rd, Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze, Museo Nazionale del Bargello, Museo delle Cappelle Medicee, Museo di Palazzo Davanzati and Chiesa di Orsanmichele will be open, in addition to their usual opening hours, also in the evening from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm (last entry 9:45 pm) with admission costing a symbolic price of one euro (excluding free admission required by law).

An ideal opportunity to admire the sculptural masterpieces of Michelangelo (Galleria dell’Accademia, Bargello, Cappelle Medicee), Donatello, Verrocchio, Giambologna, Cellini, and the Della Robbia family (Museo Nazionale del Bargello) in the light of sunset, and to witness the restoration of the base of Perseus, a work by the renowned sculptor Benvenuto Cellini, at Museo Nazionale del Bargello, thanks to a restoration project open to the public until September 5th, 2026.
