In accordance with Legislative Decree 105/2021, as of August 6, only green pass holders will be allowed to access the museum. More information can be found on https://www.dgc.gov.it/web/
Groups of 8 people + a guide are allowed.
The use of headphones (whisper) is mandatory for all groups consisting of 5 people or more.
In order to guarantee a safe, one-way tour of the museum, some rooms (the first floor) will temporarily remain closed. The Sala del Colosso is temporarily closed to the public for consolidation and restoration work. The public, before entering the museum, will be subjected to a body temperature check. If one’s temperature exceeds 37.5°C, access will not be allowed. Visitors entering the museum must take the necessary personal hygiene precautions. For this purpose, the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze will provide appropriate hand cleansing equipment with specific dispensers located in easily identifiable places.
The use of face masks is mandatory.

The museum is equipped with facilities for persons with disabilities. Entrance and ticket office are accessible from Via Ricasoli 60. Each of the halls and galleries that are open for exhibition are completely wheelchair accessible.

To access the Museum and ensure everyone’s safety, visitors must go through security inspection.
Items like scissors, blades, and any other metal objects that could pose a danger to people or the art works on display will be collected by the security staff at the entrance to the Museum and left at the metal detector.
The Museum does not have a cloakroom, therefore visitors with large bags and backpacks, helmets, etc. will not be allowed to enter. Access is allowed for bottles of water not exceeding 0.5 liters.
Objects left at the metal detector and not collected on the day of the visit will remain in custody at the Museum until the first Tuesday of the following month. After this date they will be considered lost objects and delivered to the Lost and Found Office of the Municipality of Florence (via Veracini 5/5 , 50144 Florence, tel. +39 055 334802, fax +39 055 3246473, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org), in accordance with current legislation.
The same procedure will be followed for objects lost by visitors inside the Museum. The Museum does not under any circumstances provide for the shipment of forgotten or lost objects.
