The new 15th and early 16th century rooms
From 8 February 2022, after important refurbishment works, the Galleria dell’Accademia reopens the hall of Colossus with its painting collections of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and the model of Giambologna’s Rape of the Sabine women placed at its centre. A new lighting project, a new color on the wall and new restorations give new light to the works of art, improving visitors’ fruition.
