Sculture in Accademia

Thematic Tours for deaf people in Italian sign language, in collaboration with ENS Firenze

Thursday, March 13 (5 p.m.) begins the cycle of inclusive tours organized by the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze as part of the cultural resign L’eterno contemporaneo. Michelangelo 1475 – 2025.

The first event, dedicated to deaf people, is organized in collaboration with the Ente Nazionale Sordi di Firenze and Stazione Utopia.

The thematic tours in ISL Sculture in Accademia will focus on the evolution of Renaissance sculptural art, analyzing the expressive potential of matter and technique through a comparison of Michelangelo’s sculptures and the terracruda model of Giambologna’s The Rape of the Sabine Women.

The inclusive itineraries will return in the autumn, between October and December, with a full calendar of events dedicated to deaf people (8 visits in ISL) and blind or visually impaired people (6 tactile visits).

The cultural resign L’eterno contemporaneo. Michelangelo 1475 – 2025 will extend throughout 2025 and is designed to deepen our knowledge of Michelangelo’s masterpieces preserved at the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze – highlighting the artist’s vision, his innovative spirit and his extraordinary relevance.
