Welfare Culturale 2025

La Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze e i Musei del Bargello are participating in Welfare Culturale 2025, the Fondazione CR Firenze‘s project to promote inclusion and well-being through art. This program features a rich program of initiatives for people with Alzheimer’s, neurodivergent persons, and those over 65, curated by L’immaginario Associazione Culturale.

Created in 2021 by the Fondazione CR Firenze, the Welfare Culturale program now includes several hundred free activities throughout the metropolitan city—including art, music, and dance. La Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze e i Musei del Bargello are offering three specific programs created in collaboration with L’immaginario Associazione Culturale: OverArt, Musei Oltre and Arte, qui e ora.

Musei Oltre e Arte, qui e ora are aimed at neurodivergent individuals and those with dementia, as well as their caregivers. Both initiatives offer a participatory approach to the museum experience, using facilitating tools such as social stories and visual and body language that encourages personal expression. The activities, organized in small groups, are led by a museum educator supported by an autism specialist, ensuring a personalized and inclusive experience.

OverArt is aimed at people over 65, offering encounters that intertwine art, memory, and social interaction. The program encourages a slow and shared approach to the museum’s works, promoting dialogue and connection through art as a tool for well-being.
